I was sad to find out from John Carlton that Gary Halbert died on Sunday. Although I never met him, I felt I knew him somewhat from reading the letters on his web site, and from John Carlton’s many anecdotes about his friend. He was a legend among copywriters. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
One of my favorite Halbert letters is this one, about castration and “Engineered Paradigm Changes”. You should probably get across there and read those letters before the site disappears. There’s more useful marketing information there than in half-a-dozen $197 courses.
