There’s an interesting discussion going on at Problogger: Should you add Keywords to the Name Field when you Leave Comments on a Blog?
Some people get really upset about this. I can understand why – keywords in the name field do look spammy. But my feeling is – as long as they’re commenting, I don’t really mind the keywords. I don’t do it myself, though.
The discussion reminded me that I haven’t tried a plug-in recommended some time ago by Steven Lohrenz: it’s called KeywordLuv, by Stephen Cronin, and it allows commenters to add their keywords after their name, like this: Derrick@Online Business Blog. The keywords are applied to the commenter’s URL. So my example would appear like this: Derrick from Online Business Blog
This seems to me like a reasonable solution. It’s only of value if the WordPress default ‘NoFollow’ tag is removed – I use Denis de Bernardy’s ‘DoFollow’ plugin. By the way, there’s an interesting post on Google’s official blog from 2 years ago where they discuss the introduction of the NoFollow tag, and the reasoning behind it. The fact that it penalizes legitimate commenters seems to be ignored.

Google does not really want people to learn that much about nofollow links. They never talk much about that only how many links you should haveon one page or good and bad links. I like keywordluv and it makes sense if you allow dofollow links let the person use keywords for that link.
Luv is a good way to encourage more blog traffic, but people should have the courtesy to only submit comments relevant to the blog, not spam. It’s a two-way street – If bloggers are providing a benefit to commenters, commenters should return the favor by not abusing the privilege.
i like keywordluv if it is installed than i put my name with keyword.commentluv keywordluv both are these incredible plugins the help you in getting more traffic on your site.

t sounds like your results of running keyword luv on your site have been positive…and your page rank has increase Keyword luv is a win-win for both the blog owner and the commentator. The blog owner gets fresh, quality content…who doesn’t need content?! The commentator get a good quality back link that is keyword based…sounds win-win to me!
I’ve been using keywordluv and it worked well. I was able to get comments that are worth reading. Spammers will always be there I suppose. It’s just a matter of putting it in moderation.
keywords can make a difference in terms of how highly your site gets ranked. This helps to signify how highly related your content is, and will help your site improve its ranking for the targeted terms.

This plugin is very good if you want to have lots of traffic on your site.
I also think that any backlink is good, nofollow and dofollow. If you have only dofollow then it does not appear natural for seo. Plus, most links on the web are nofollow anyway.

What is all this talk about PageRank leaking? Does that really happen, and what’s the reasoning behind it? And how would it affect SEO if at all?
I normally check out the other comments or the comment policy and see how easy or hard they are on keywords. Doesn’t bother me but I know some people hate talking to keyword named people.

I think this is really very beneficial thing if you are putting your keyword with your name. I think this is a process to get an identification on the web. Anyways keep it up and keep continue.
If it encourages the readers to comment and add keywords with the name, then I think it is a great idea. After all, a blog that encourages a comment is a great blog and the more it looks appealing with KeywordLuv on it.

I think you should read the comment policy on every blog you comment on to understand if the blog owner cares if you do this. It is a great practice for SEO but it also looks spammy and offends blog owners if you are not contributing.

Yeah I never bother trying to bother with the keywords.
You absolutely should put keywords in the name field when Keywordluv is being used. These keywords are extremely important in terms of search engine ranking for those keywords! However, as others have pointed out, it’s still important that any comments you make be on topic and of quality.

I’m a big fan of the KeywordLuv plugin. It really helps generate relevant posts, although it does cause some spammers to show up, but the benefits outweight the negatives so far on my blogs.

i think if you are not specify the your name before the keyword it affects nothing but if you add this before keyword then it will give you the additional advantage Backlinks. keep it up
