You can make a comfortable living selling Internet marketing services to local businesses. More and more people are using the Internet to search for local suppliers of items they want to buy, and business owners are becoming more aware of the importance of getting a high search engine ranking.
Some business owners are even starting to understand that it’s not really about the amount of traffic they get to their website, but about the number of visitors who convert into buyers.
And a standard Internet marketing tool, the autoresponder, provides an excellent way for any business to follow up with its customers – whether they’ve just bought a swimming pool or a can of paint.
What kind of services can you sell? Well, search engine optimization is a service which many websites desperately need. Increasing traffic through link building – article marketing, social media, bookmarking – is another useful service to offer. Don’t forget that your local chambers of commerce are a good venue to promote your web services. Usually if one or two businesses adopt you than it’s easier to market to their retail/commercial neighbors. Check to see when they have their regular new business meet-and-greets.

I actually think this is a very good idea, given that for each of them to do there own marketing, SEO etc it is not worthwhile, but all together it makes commercial sense…
